The Farmer has multiple wives!

We never tire of seeing these Farmer's Wife Quilts coming together.

Each has its own charm and play of colours, all are delightful.

This is Victoria's and I hope you'll agree, its looking great.

 

And here is Tonie's. In her words, 'the end of a very long process!'. This next one was made with a selection of fabrics put together by Shelley here at Carolyn's to be a best approximation of the original quilt, with Tonie adding her own sashing. Great choice too.

 

 

Wonderful how different use of colour in the block fabrics and sashing strips creates such a different result!

More Block of Month Updates

Carolyn is working at a blistering pace.

Its A Mystery!

There are some spaces left in Carolyn's Mystery Quilt class, to be held on the 2nd June, so here is a little teaser.

Expect to start a quilt that will become a family heirloom - we'd expect nothing less of our Carolyn surely!?

Hope I haven't given too much away!

Class will run from 10.30am to 3pm on Saturday June 2nd, cost $75.00.

News from Patchwork Heaven

We really get to see the loveliest things at Carolyn's.

Some of our girls had a play with the Bulls Eye Quilt Design during a recent Sit and Sew and they are so different and all delightful. I just love this quilt - definitely on the list of To-Do's.

And here is a gem from Lorraine, who definitely doesn't let the grass grow under her feet.

She has made this top from a kit she purchased at the AQC and that wasn't that long ago!

Blocks of the Month Progress.

Now that the dust has settled from AQC, and Carolyn has had at least one Monday to use for sewing the BOM's are moving along.

Anna Maria's quilt

Anna Maria's quilt, started in the Beginner's Class with Carolyn, is growing like topsy! She is on track to make this 'sampler' expand to 56" x 94".

Not at all bad for a first quilt - even Daisy approves!
